Lambeth History
The London Borough of Lambeth, situated on the southern bank of the River Thames, was established in 1965 through the amalgamation of Streatham and Clapham with the pre-existing metropolitan borough of Lambeth. With a population of approximately 303,100 residents and around 130,000 households, it ranks as the ninth largest borough by population in London.
At present, the Borough is actively managing various expansive regeneration initiatives, including a proposed development surrounding Brixton town hall.
