Islington History
The Islington London Borough Council serves as the local authority for the London Borough of Islington, situated in Greater London, England. Established under the London Government Act 1963, this council assumed the responsibilities of two prior local authorities: the Finsbury Metropolitan Borough Council and the Islington Metropolitan Borough Council.
